Independence day

So this month we have been able to celebrate a few things. On the 3rd Matt and I got to celebrate our 10 year anniversary of the day we first met. Obviously there is Independence Day and then on July 9th we got to celebrate our 7 year anniversary of our marriage. We are kind of weird in the fact that we like to celebrate every little thing that was big in our lives. Like when we first met, the day of our first kiss, anniversary, and especially the day we got sealed. With so many moments of our relationship to celebrate I feel like it frequently gives us moment to reflect on the love that we share, and how grateful we are to have each other in our lives.

This is not the best picture but it describes our relationship for the past 10 years, there isn't a day that goes by that Matt doesn't make me laugh. We have so much fun together. Like every couple we aren't perfect but One of the things that we say when life isn't perfect is "I would rather be with you when we disagree than to not be with you at all." So to anyone who wonders why we don't like to do stuff without each other, is because we would rather be together no matter what the circumstance, than not at all.

This day was actually the day after Prom.

Hiking up to Timp Caves 8 years ago.

It has been really rainy and unpredictable for the past couple of weeks so we have not been able to go swimming. It has also been really Humid and muggy because of it so anything else to do outside has been kind of miserable, so we have been home a lot. One of Aerom's favorite past time is building "schools" (that's what he calls them) with blocks. He does a whole lay out of a school, classrooms, hallways, playground etc. It is fun to see him so into it and focused.

When I was little me and my sisters would put on plays and make up songs for my Mom and my grandparents. One of which was the of "The Little Achoo Girls" Which was my favorite. :) So I told the kids to put on a play.  This is a couple of pictures of them doing Hansel and Grettle. Talia is the witch and the other two just wanted to dress up, so in this play Hansel was a Prince, and Grettle was a Snow Angel.

This is the scene of Grettle pushing the Witch into the oven. Aerom(or Hansel) is locked in the confines of the piano bench. He must have gotten pretty fat from the witches food for him not to fit through those bars. ;) They actually did a really good job and I was impressed with the props that they thought of.

Ok so this is a priceless moment. We still had the costumes left out from the night before. I woke up to the sound of someone playing the Wii, so I went to see who was awake, and this is what I found...... A dinosaur.... playing Zelda.

So on the 4th of July the George Bush Library is free! So we decided to check it out. It was fun, but it wasn't as kid friendly as we had hoped, not in the fact that they couldn't touch anything, they actually had a lot of fun stuff like that, but there was a lot of reading that we would have liked to have read, but the kids didn't really want a part of that. We still had fun though.

Matt and the kids in a very important meeting.

So everyone has to have there Flag dessert for the 4th. This is my attempt. We made a fruit pizza for a get together that we had. I love fruit pizza. Especially my Mom's version, I think we have made it like 5 times since we have been here.

We love doing stuff as a family, and it makes me so happy to think of where the couple at the biginning of this blog has ended up. In 10 years we fell in love and now have an eternal family of 5. I am so grateful for the plan of Salvation and that Heavenly Father knows exactly what he is doing. There is nothing more important than family and everyday I am reminded of that.
